Simon White - Partner & Co-founder

Simon has built and run a leading M&A business and is the former founder and partner in charge of BDO Stoy Hayward’s South Coast Corporate Finance business. He spent seven years as a direct private equity investor, both raising and investing equity across a broad range of industries.

He subsequently became managing director of his own trading business which he grew and then sold to a large private group. He has raised and invested more than £500 million into trading businesses and has over twenty years of experience in the Private Equity market. Simon has provided strategic advice to management teams in growing businesses across a broad range of sectors. Simon brings investment, M&A and operational management skills to Altitude.

Jonathan Simm - Partner & Co-founder

Jonathan is a former senior director of Lloyds TSB Development Capital (“LDC”), director in charge of the Southern Region and a member of its national Investment Committee who has fifteen years experience of Private Equity deal assessment, investment and portfolio management.

Jonathan qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche before moving to NatWest Equity Partners. He subsequently joined LDC where he spent eight years working with a wide range of businesses from investment through to exit. Jonathan has spent four years as Financial Director of a rapidly growing private equity backed manufacturing business and brings investment, portfolio management and operational skills to Altitude.

Michael Joseph - Advisory Panel Member

Michael is Chairman of two trading businesses - Lavender Cosmetics Ltd and Tyler Mangan Ltd. He is also Chairman of Northedge Capital LLP, a Manchester based Mid Market Private Equity Fund.

Michael is the former UK Managing Director of LloydsTSB Development Capital - LDC. He spent 15 years at LDC with 8 as Managing Director and a further 4 years as Managing Director of Structured Finance at LloydsTSB, which included responsibility for private equity, acquisition finance and asset finance. Whilst Managing Director at LDC he grew it from a London centric business to the large regional mid-market business that it is today. Between 2007 and 2010 Michael built and ran the successful London mid-market mezzanine business of DE Shaw, one of the world’s largest hedge funds.

He is a former member of the British Venture Capital Association Council. Michael brings extensive investment, management and strategic skills to Altitude.

Angela Lane - Advisory Panel Member

Angela works as an independent director and advisor to private companies and private equity.

Angela is non executive Chairman of : Huntswood CTC, the leading provider of outsourced customer services to the financial services industry, Ansel Group, an operator of rehabilitation facilities for the care of adults with personality disorder and Fishawack Communications Group. an international medical communications agency.  She is also an independent director of Sembcorp Bournemouth Water, a regulated UK water utility and Regional Chairman for Coutts & Co in the Solent region. 

Angela spent 18 years working in private equity at 3i, latterly as a partner in 3i’s Growth Capital business and managing the UK portfolio. Angela has extensive experience of investment and portfolio management in business and financial services, healthcare, travel and aviation, media and consumer and infrastructure.
